Have you bought or ordered a product/item of clothing etc only to find that it is totally unsuitable for the taller girl? Which brands come up short? We want to know about it!
i'm 5"9, my sister is 5"11, my brother is 6"5, and we're Singaporean. it's much more difficult finding nice stuff that fits well when you live in an Asian country.
i tried on a jacket from Uniqlo recently. the biggest size they had was XL and the sleeves were way too short. the material was really soft and comfy though, that's why i bought it anyway.
Topshop doesn't even bring their tall range to Singapore. probably cos we Asians tend to be petite. i guess the market here isn't big enough.
Thanks Nettie- I agree on next trousers. I struggle to get them to fit. Such a pain! I havent actually been inside Uniqlo! Must visit and inspect! Thanks so much xx
I absolutely love the hoodies from Aeropostale but they're actually kinda short and I'm like 5'9-5'10. But aero hoodies seem to be short even on my shorter sister who's 5'6! :( The length is pretty much the same for the medium AND large size, go figure!
Topshop ''normal'' ranges absolutely suck! I'm 5'10-11 and I remember having to go to a store 15 miles away to get a dress from the Tall range because the normal range hardly covered my bum....even then the dress was pretty short :(
I never fit in H&M or Zara clothes! Total nightmare, I do love their stuff. Don't get me started on arm lengths of tops, nothing fits! I give up and embrace the 3/4 sleeves!
Zara- I have had a few items- some dresses are like long tops. H&M I have found a few things recently but the arms are short :( Jackets and cardigans are a permanent fixture in my wardrobe! xx
My Black book is quite long.. Next is the first one on the list. Even their Long selection is ill fitting and jeans are short.. not longer then 33"..
ReplyDeleteTopshop: love the fact they have collection for taller people, but on the other hand the collection is not offering enough choices.
H&M: apart from the longer casual tops I am leaving the stores empty handed.
River island: short, tiny, unless I find nice loose oversized tops the brand is a miss.
Uniqlo: as much as I like the concept, it is so ill fitting for taller ladies that I just gave up on them..

Oh no, poor you. Perhaps some other Sigaporeans will read this and be able to help? I havent tried Uniqlo but I think I will avoid! xx

ReplyDeleteI have to admit I struggle in Topshop- unless the trousers are available in various lengths. Tops are hit and miss nowadays :(
